“Being Brave” 30×24 canvas gicleé print depicts a mother and her young son as she looks to remove what is probably a sliver from his hand. What I loved about painting this is how relatable this situation is. The subjects in the painting could have been from any place or nationality or time. The fact that I was able to paint this scene using a subject matter I love, Native Americans, made it that much more enjoyable to create.
